Danish Gardens

Danish Gardens is housed in the upper two floors of the old Queen Louise Home on Hospital Street, Frederiksted. The facility, which opened in 1993, contains seven federally subsidized apartments for physically and/or mentally disabled adults capable of independent living and provides sufficient support services to keep residents functioning at a high level. These services include housing management and maintenance, limited social work and nursing managed care, limited transportation and homemaker services.

Danish Gardens consists of 6 one bedroom apartments and 1 two bedroom apartment. The three "ground accessible" apartments are wheelchair accessible while the four upstairs apartment require ambulatory clients. Residents may have children. Residents pay rent of 30% of their income after adjustments.
