Assistant Teachers (Floaters) & Substitutes - Expansion and Queen Louise Home Campus

(multiple full time and part time positions are available). 

Candidates would be responsible for assisting the teachers in maintaining a safe, healthy developmentally appropriate learning environment for infants and toddlers.  This includes helping to carry out a daily educational routine that builds trust between children, families and staff.  This position requires good verbal communication skills, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, some lifting and bending, and the ability to obtain an Infant/Toddler CDA.

Transportation Staff (Bus Drivers & Monitors) - Expansion Campus:

These candidates are responsible for providing transportation to and from the center for children and parents, maintaining the safety of all individuals on the bus during the course of the route, and completing all required transportation paperwork.  Assist classroom teachers in the care and education of the children.  This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Commercial Driver's License (CDL), annual physical examination, random drug testing, and must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

 Office Assistant - Expansion Campus

This position provides administrative and secretarial support for the Early Head Start program.  In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, the person in this position also performs duties such as record keeping, payroll, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and answering routine correspondence.  This position requires good verbal and written communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and working knowledge of computers and software applications.

Cook - Expansion Campus:

Responsible for preparing the food to be served for the Early Head Start Program in accordance with Federal nutrition requirements for infants, children and toddlers.  Comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow established food production programs and procedures.  This position requires good written communication skills, high school diploma or equivalent, five (5) years experience cooking in a professional setting, valid VI Drivers License, and Food Handlers Card.

 Custodian Part Time (p/t) - Expansion Campus

Custodian will mainain a clean working enviroment for children, staff and visitors.  Ensures all enviroments are safe, disinfected and sanitized, and completes required daily cleaning logs.  This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
